Nathalie Boyer was born and raised in the South West part of France, in the beautiful medieval town of Figeac (Lot). Her parents Dry-Cleaning business was the storefront of their twelve-century town house, with Gothic arch doors and windows, on the street side. The last of the fourth floors was an open attic, a soleiho, typical of medieval Quercy. Even though enamored with the picturesque and charm of the region, her dreams lay elsewhere.

Fascinated by Paris, at the age of eighteen she left for the city of lights, and fell in love with the world of fashion. She first was employed as a typist for a newspaper, right on the Champs Elysees, and eventually spread her wings and ventured into modeling.

Nathalie arrived in Vancouver in summer 1995, after following her heart to the city. She had spent the last decade working as a model, singer and dancer. Returning to the real world, after fours years in Japan. Leaving behind the spectacle of Cabaret life in Tokyo, was not an easy transition. Becoming a Hair Stylist and colorist was a natural evolution.

Nathalie is also an avid student of the arts. She immersed herself in acrylics painting classes, and various drawing courses, embracing pen and ink, fashion illustration and collages, at Emily Carr University. She achieved a three years certificate in 2D-Design Basics (part-time studies) at ECU in 2011. Since that time she have been experimenting with paper textures: tissues, crepe or napkin papers that she cuts, creases, or arranges in bouquets of flowers. She photographs or scans these textures, and incorporates them via Photoshop, as collages, with a unique three-dimensional effect.

Her inspirations come from fashion magazines, the figures in the landscape, the world of the Cabaret and Circus, and the lovely animals in between. She describes herself as a Contemporary Impressionist.
